Write Your Art Out! Art and Writing Class 
Six week Class series
Age Group: Elementary kids
Where: The Portland Montessori School Auxiliary Program
Dates: Fridays, September 12- October 24, 2014: 9/12,9/19,9/26,10/3,10/17,10/24
Times: 3:15-4:30 pm
Cost: $110 includes all materials
NOTE: This class is open to all students, they do not need to be enrolled at The Portland Montessori School.

Children will learn and take away these tools:
• Visual Thinking   • Illustration  • Creative Writing starts  
• Doodle writing  • Messy writing  • Observation skills  
• Fun and creative ways to combine Art and Writing 
This class is great for students who are eager to create their own illustrated stories. Every student has a personal style of observing, processing and expressing their stories.  We will be working as a group and as individuals and honing observation and Visual Thinking Strategies.
Art Class for Primary kids 
6 week Class series
Age Group: Primary kids, 2 1/2 - 6 years
Where: The Portland Montessori School Auxiliary Program
Dates: Mondays, September 8-October 13, 2014:
9/8, 9/15,9/22, 9/29,10/6,10/13
Times: 3:15-4:30 pm
Max. group size: 8
Cost: $110 includes all materials
NOTE: This class is open to all students, they do not need to be enrolled at The Portland Montessori School.

Children will be exposed to and explore: 
  • Natural forms and patterns
  • Paints, string, paper, glue
  • Color and texture
  • Printing, painting, stamping
  • Roll playing with animal and imaginative characters
Art Class for Primary kids 
14 week Class series
Age Group: 2 1/2 - 6 years
Where: The Portland Montessori School Auxiliary Program
Class Dates: Mondays, September 8-December 15, 2014: 
9/8,9/15,9/22,9/29,10/6,10/13,10/20,10/27,11/3,11/10,11/17,no class11/24 during Thanksgiving week,12/1,12/8,12/15. 
Times: 3:15-4:30 pm
Max. group size: 8 students
PLEASE NOTE: This class can be taken by non-Montessori students!

Children will be exposed to and explore:

Times: 3:00 pm-4:15 pm
