The Crotalus tzabcan rattlesnake is native to the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico. This is where the ancient Uxmal pyramid is located and several others. This rattlesnake is deadly poisonous and was revered in Mayan culture. It can be found as ornaments on buildings, in sculptures and in the ancient Mayan manuscripts.
